Right to Repair

We prioritise repairs to ensure that they are completed within the required timescales. There may, however, be instances where, for a particular reason, a repair is not carried out on time.

The Housing (Scotland) Act 2001 introduced a Statutory Right to Repair Scheme, which specifies that certain essential repairs must be completed within a set timescale. You can obtain further information from our office regarding the scheme and the type of repairs that qualify for compensation payments.
