Tenant Participation and Consultation

Security

The Association is fully committed to consulting with our tenants and to inviting their comments and suggestions on matters affecting them.

These matters vary but can include items such as the following:

  • Views on policies such as Allocations and Rent Arrears
  • Standards of estate management
  • Maintenance of play areas
  • Colours for close redecoration

In recognition of the Association's duties to provide information to tenants, we will:

  • Prepare a tenant participation strategy
  • Ensure that the strategy sets out the arrangements for taking account of tenants' views, giving them advance warning of matters that are likely to be under consideration and providing information about the proposals and their effects
  • Assess the resources required to implement the strategy
  • Maintain a register of tenant organisations
  • Notify tenants of the likely effect of proposals relating to housing management, repair and maintenance, standards of service, our tenant participation strategy and any planned disposal, giving them the opportunity to make representation.

For full details of all current tenant consultation and participation events, please go to our Tenant Consultation and Participation Section.
