Online Safety and Housing
When moving into a new home, it’s important to be alert to online risks:
Phishing emails: Scammers may pretend to be your landlord. Don’t click on unexpected links — contact the landlord directly if you’re unsure.
Fake property listings: Only search on trusted, official websites. Fraudsters sometimes post adverts for homes they don’t own.
Passwords: Protect your accounts with strong, unique passwords. Try using three random words with numbers or symbols, or use a password manager to keep them safe.
