Finance & Corporate Services

The Finance & Corporate Services Team ensures the Association has robust budgeting and business planning processes in place.

The team is led by Head of Finance and ICT Lynne Ramsay and is split into three sections.

Finance

  • Production of monthly management accounts
  • Annual financial statements and meeting audit requirements
  • Ensuring robust budgeting and long-term planning is in place
  • Completion and submission of statutory returns
  • Preparation of cash flow forecasts and the administration of all banking arrangements
  • Administration of our rent accounting
  • Ensuring the Association’s suppliers are paid on time
  • Administration and submission of insurance claims
  • Provide finance services to our subsidiary company

I.T 

The I.T team consists of three members of staff

  • The I.T Team ensure the management and support of all internal I.T systems including backup and recovery, and network security.
  • The Association maintains a contractual relationship with an external network support supplier, to provide additional expertise when required.

All I.T equipment and software purchases are the responsibility of the I.T Team. The I.T Officers ensures that equipment is working as expected, so the organisation can achieve its operational objectives.

Digital

  • Our Digital Assistant Ensures that we keep our customers informed in a responsive and accessible manner using various channels, including social media, our website, digital surveys, digital newsletters, leaflets and letters.
  • Provide dynamic written, graphic and video content for our website and our Williamsburgh app.
  • Design and co-ordinate the Williamsburgh newsletter, which is issued via our digital channels 
  • Design and co-ordinate online surveys for our customers
  • Manage all social media channels 

Corporate Services

Corporate Governance and Performance Management

  • Implementing, monitoring and evaluating the organisation’s corporate governance and performance management frameworks. This includes Risk Management, Internal Audit, Strategic Planning, Business Planning, all done to ensure that we meet the requirements of the Scottish Housing Regulator, and others, and ensure that our business remains successful, efficient and fit for purpose.
  • Also responsible for Board servicing and support, and keeping the Association’s policies and procedures up to date.

Human Resources and Learning and Development

  • Our people are key to our success. Our HR and L&D processes are there to ensure that they are supported and equipped to carry out their roles to the best of their ability.
  • We have a strong ethos of continuous improvement across the organisation, and learning opportunities are key to the development of our people.

Communications and PR

  • Implementing and monitoring the Association's internal and external communications.
  • Ensuring that we keep our customers informed in a responsive and accessible manner using various channels, including letters, newsletters, leaflets, reports, as well as our website and social media platforms.
  • Handling enquiries, issuing press releases and liaising with the media.
