Legal Action

Coins

We will not take legal action, if you make and keep to an acceptable arrangement. If you do not contact us, however, or if you do not keep to your repayment arrangement and your arrears increase, we will take legal action against you. This could lead to your wages being arrested, or ultimately eviction from your home. You will also have to pay all legal expenses incurred.

We have an obligation to inform certain other members of your household, if we intend taking legal action against you. This is to allow their circumstances to be considered by the Court. This includes lodgers, or anyone to whom you have sub-let your house. It also applies to members of your family, aged 16 or over, who live with you. It is important, therefore, that we are advised of all who live in your home.
