On receipt of your completed application form, we will send you an acknowledgement, to let you know that we have received it.
Following this, the details you have provided us with will be assessed in accordance with our Allocations Policy and you will be awarded the relevant points.
We will also ask you to provide proof of residency for all people wishing to be rehoused and in certain circumstances, we may ask for additional evidence, to support the information you have given us.
We will then ensure that your application is held in a queue for the appropriate size of property in the areas that you have indicated.
Medical Needs
Most cases will not require medical evidence from a doctor or hospital. A medical assessment questionnaire for self-certification is included within our application form.
Types of Housing
Applicants are queued for the most appropriate housing relating to their needs. This includes wheelchair accessible homes, or ground floor accommodation, where the applicant has a serious mobility issue.
Information and Advice
Throughout the lifetime of your housing application, our customer services team can provide you with housing information and advice not only in relation to our properties and their turnover, but also information on housing available by our partners –
Renfrewshire Council, Ferguslie Park HA, Linstone HA, Bridgewater HA and Paisley South HA.
In addition, they can provide you with a prospects interview where they will give you detailed information on your current housing situation and offer advice that may improve your chances of securing rehousing.
It is advisable to arrange an appointment in order that the Customer Services Assistant can retrieve your application and investigate fully your housing situation.
Offers of Housing
Prior to an offer of housing being made, you may be asked to confirm certain circumstances in relation to your application. If you are unable to do this, we cannot make you the offer and the property will be referred to the next applicant.
